Answer by Dr. Ru: About Periplum usage in lactation

Excreted into breast milk in a non-significant amount. Because of pharmacokinetic data (high protein-binding capacity and low oral bioavailability) the observed low excretion into breast milk would be explained. Periplum does not alter secretion of Prolactin.

Answer by DrLact: About Periplum usage in lactation

Based on limited data, amounts ingested by the infant are small and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants.
