Is Umeclidinium Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Umeclidinium? Is Umeclidinium safe for nursing mother and child? Does Umeclidinium extracts into breast milk? Does Umeclidinium has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Umeclidinium influence milk supply or can Umeclidinium decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Although no published data exist on the use of umeclidinium during breastfeeding, it produces low systemic maternal serum levels and any drug in breastmilk are not likely to be absorbed by the infant. The risk to the breastfed infant of maternal umeclidinium inhalation is small. Combination products such as Anoro Ellipta are likely to be acceptable for similar reasons.
