I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Apixaban? Is Apixaban safe for nursing mother and child? Does Apixaban extracts into breast milk? Does Apixaban has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Apixaban influence milk supply or can Apixaban decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Because no information is available on the use of apixaban during breastfeeding and the drug is orally absorbable, an alternate drug is preferred while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.[1][2][3]
