I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid? Is 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid safe for nursing mother and child? Does 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid extracts into breast milk? Does 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid influence milk supply or can 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Limited data indicate that rather large amounts of 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid are excreted into breastmilk. Because of the relative lack of data concerning breastfeeding during maternal 2-Amino-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propionamid therapy, exclusively breastfed infants should be carefully monitored if this drug is used during lactation, possibly including measurement of serum levels to rule out toxicity if there is a concern.
