I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Tubersol? Is Tubersol safe for nursing mother and child? Does Tubersol extracts into breast milk? Does Tubersol has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Tubersol influence milk supply or can Tubersol decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

There is no reason to withhold breastfeeding after tuberculosis skin testing or to avoid skin testing in nursing mothers.

Tubersol Side Effects in Breastfeeding

There is some evidence that breastfed infants can acquire immune responsiveness to Tubersol via breastmilk.[1][2][3] However, other investigators have found no evidence of breastmilk transfer of immunity.[4]
