Is Nintedanib Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Nintedanib? Is Nintedanib safe for nursing mother and child? Does Nintedanib extracts into breast milk? Does Nintedanib has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Nintedanib influence milk supply or can Nintedanib decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of nintedanib during breastfeeding. Because nintedanib is more than 97% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 9.7 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during nintedanib therapy.
