Is Sonidegib Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Sonidegib? Is Sonidegib safe for nursing mother and child? Does Sonidegib extracts into breast milk? Does Sonidegib has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Sonidegib influence milk supply or can Sonidegib decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of sonidegib during breastfeeding. Because sonidegib is 97% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 28 days and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during sonidegib therapy.
