I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane? Is 1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane safe for nursing mother and child? Does 1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane extracts into breast milk? Does 1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane influence milk supply or can 1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?
Because of the lack of data on use during breastfeeding, other antidepressants are preferred during breastfeeding.
1-Hydrazino-2-phenylethane can elevate serum prolactin in some patients[1] and has caused galactorrhea in nonpregnant, nonnursing patients.[2] The clinical relevance of these findings in nursing mothers is not known. The prolactin level in a mother with established lactation may not affect her ability to breastfeed.
