Is Plecanatide Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Plecanatide? Is Plecanatide safe for nursing mother and child? Does Plecanatide extracts into breast milk? Does Plecanatide has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Plecanatide influence milk supply or can Plecanatide decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of plecanatide during breastfeeding. Because plecanatide is not orally absorbed by the mother, it is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant. Until more data become available, plecanatide should be used with caution during breastfeeding, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
