I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Propolis? Is Propolis safe for nursing mother and child? Does Propolis extracts into breast milk? Does Propolis has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Propolis influence milk supply or can Propolis decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Resin-like substance which is extracted from gems of trees and shrubs, modified and used by bees to build their beehives. Contains more than 200 biologic and mineral compounds. It has a local antibacterial and healing effect. It may induce severe allergic reactions. Renal failure in adults and children has occurred by long term ingestion of Propolis or Diethylene Glycol contamination. Avoid to apply it on the breast.
