I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Noridil? Is Noridil safe for nursing mother and child? Does Noridil extracts into breast milk? Does Noridil has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Noridil influence milk supply or can Noridil decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Long-term treatment with diuretic drugs (particularly those Thiazides with long lasting effect and loop-acting drugs) may inhibit lactation. Use a lower dose as possible, especially during the first postnatal month.I has been marketed in association to Furosemide in Spain.

If Noridil is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding. However, because no information is available on the use of Noridil during breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred.
Noridil Possible Effects in Breastfeeding
Intense diuresis can suppress lactation;[1][2] however, it is unlikely that Noridil alone is sufficiently potent to cause this effect.
