I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Reviten? Is Reviten safe for nursing mother and child? Does Reviten extracts into breast milk? Does Reviten has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Reviten influence milk supply or can Reviten decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Long-term treatment with diuretic drugs (particularly those Thiazides with long lasting effect and loop-acting drugs) may inhibit lactation. Use a lower dose as possible, especially during the first postnatal month.I has been marketed in association to Furosemide in Spain.

If Reviten is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding. However, because no information is available on the use of Reviten during breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred.

Reviten Possible Effects in Breastfeeding

Intense diuresis can suppress lactation;[1][2] however, it is unlikely that Reviten alone is sufficiently potent to cause this effect.
