I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Aliskiren? Is Aliskiren safe for nursing mother and child? Does Aliskiren extracts into breast milk? Does Aliskiren has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Aliskiren influence milk supply or can Aliskiren decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

At latest update, relevant information on excretion into breast milk was not found. Because of pharmacokinetic data (wide distribution volume and moderately high molecular weight) excretion into breast milk in significant quantity seems to be unlikely. Based on a low oral bioavailability, concentration in the infant's plasma should be nil or low, except in premature and newborn infants with a increased intestinal absorption capacity.
