Is Drospirenonum Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Drospirenonum? Is Drospirenonum safe for nursing mother and child? Does Drospirenonum extracts into breast milk? Does Drospirenonum has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Drospirenonum influence milk supply or can Drospirenonum decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Drospirenonum is a progestin that is an analogue of spironolactone. It has antimineralocorticoid and antiandrogenic activities and is available in the U.S. only in combination with ethinyl estradiol as an oral contraceptive agent. Based on the available evidence, expert opinion holds that nonhormonal methods are preferred during breastfeeding and progestin-only contraceptive are preferred over combined oral contraceptives in breastfeeding women, especially during the first 4 weeks postpartum.
