I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Mannitol? Is Mannitol safe for nursing mother and child? Does Mannitol extracts into breast milk? Does Mannitol has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Mannitol influence milk supply or can Mannitol decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Intravenously used it may produce osmotic diuresis. Also used as a osmotic laxative drug.
