Is Flucloxacillin Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Flucloxacillin? Is Flucloxacillin safe for nursing mother and child? Does Flucloxacillin extracts into breast milk? Does Flucloxacillin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Flucloxacillin influence milk supply or can Flucloxacillin decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Like most penicillin-type antibiotics, excretion into breast milk is clinically non-significant. No harmful effects have been found among breastfed infants from treated mothers. Widely used for treatment of Mastitis since it has an effective activity against Staphylococcus. Be aware of false negative results of microbial cultures done from samples of febrile infants whose mothers are treated with antibiotics. Floxacillin (flucloxacillin) is not approved for marketing in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It is acceptable to use during breastfeeding and is frequently used abroad to treat mastitis in nursing mothers.[1][2][3] Limited information indicates that floxacillin levels in milk are low and are not expected to cause adverse effects in breastfed infants. Occasionally disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush have been reported with penicillins, but these effects have not been adequately evaluated. Floxacillin is acceptable in nursing mothers.
