Answer by Dr. Ru: About Narcolepsy usage in lactation

Neurological disease that causes excessive sleepiness and uncontrollable fits of sleep at any time of day. It is recommended to breastfeed lying down horizontally, do not bathe the baby alone or with the baby in the bathtub and usually carry her in a pram better than in the arms. Bed sharing is not advisable. Pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care may worsen sleepiness. The safest medications during lactation are fluoxetine, sodium oxybate and methylphenidate, rather than the Armodafinil and modafinil (see specific data sheets of these drugs).
