Is Acido gadopentetico Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Acido gadopentetico? Is Acido gadopentetico safe for nursing mother and child? Does Acido gadopentetico extracts into breast milk? Does Acido gadopentetico has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Acido gadopentetico influence milk supply or can Acido gadopentetico decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Amounts of gadolinium excreted into breastmilk after maternal Acido gadopentetico are less than 1% of the amount allowed to be given to infants. In addition, because Acido gadopentetico is poorly absorbed orally, it is not likely to reach the bloodstream of the infant or cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. Acido gadopentetico has been associated with some cases of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis in patients with renal impairment. On this theoretical basis, European sources recommend that the mother pump and discard milk for 24 hours after receiving Acido gadopentetico.[1][2] However, guidelines developed by several North American professional organizations state that breastfeeding need not be disrupted after a nursing mother receives a gadolinium-containing contrast medium.[3][4][5]
