Is A-Vitaminsyre Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use A-Vitaminsyre? Is A-Vitaminsyre safe for nursing mother and child? Does A-Vitaminsyre extracts into breast milk? Does A-Vitaminsyre has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can A-Vitaminsyre influence milk supply or can A-Vitaminsyre decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

A-Vitaminsyre has not been studied during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should probably be avoided after oral use. Because it is poorly absorbed after topical application, it is considered a low risk to the nursing infant.[1][2][3] Ensure that the infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the areas of skin that have been treated. Only water-miscible cream or gel products should be applied to the breast because ointments may expose the infant to high levels of mineral paraffins via licking.[4]

A review of adverse reaction reports on retinoids causing a breast reaction submitted to a French pharmacovigilance center found 1 case of gynecomastia was associated with topical A-Vitaminsyre use.[5]
