Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-91Y494NL0X? Is UNII-91Y494NL0X safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-91Y494NL0X extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-91Y494NL0X has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-91Y494NL0X influence milk supply or can UNII-91Y494NL0X decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-91Y494NL0X usage in lactation

Topical UNII-91Y494NL0X has not been studied during breastfeeding. Because it is poorly absorbed after topical application, it is not likely to reach the bloodstream of the infant or cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. Ensure that the infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the areas of skin that have been treated. Only water-miscible cream or gel products should be applied to the breast because ointments may expose the infant to high levels of mineral paraffins via licking.[1]
