I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Pentamidine? Is Pentamidine safe for nursing mother and child? Does Pentamidine extracts into breast milk? Used in the treatment of leishmaniasis, african trypanosomiasis, and pneumocystiis. It does exist a recommended dosage for pediatric, or even neonatal, age. It has been included in the WHO Model List of Essential Drug and considered a suitable medication during breastfeeding.
