I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Rapimelt? Is Rapimelt safe for nursing mother and child? Does Rapimelt extracts into breast milk? Does Rapimelt has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Rapimelt influence milk supply or can Rapimelt decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

On latest update relevant data on breastfeeding was not found. Similar to Sumitriptan composition which is known to have a low excretion into breast milk.

No published experience exists with Rapimelt during breastfeeding. If Rapimelt is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding; however, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
