At latest update no published data on excretion into breast milk were found. It locally enhances the activity of hydrocortisone by inactivating a cortisol inhibiting enzyme, which can cause toxicity after systemic administration (see info on Licorice). It is unknown the level of absorption after dermal and oral rinses or application, with a reported case of systemic toxicity following topical use. Hence, it is not recommended a prolonged use of this product during lactation. It can cause contact dermatitis. Avoid applying it on the breast, otherwise, clean it thoroughly before breastfeeding.
