Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide? Is 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide safe for nursing mother and child? Does 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide extracts into breast milk? Does 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide influence milk supply or can 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide usage in lactation

Although no published data exist on the use of 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide, its use produces negligible maternal serum levels and any drug in breastmilk would not be absorbed by the infant. The risk to the breastfed infant of maternal 7-((Hydroxybis(2-thienyl)acetyl)oxy)-9,9-dimethyl-3-oxa-9-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.0(2,4))nonane bromide inhalation is small.
