I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Spiriva Handihaler? Is Spiriva Handihaler safe for nursing mother and child? Does Spiriva Handihaler extracts into breast milk? Does Spiriva Handihaler has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Spiriva Handihaler influence milk supply or can Spiriva Handihaler decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Although no published data exist on the use of Spiriva Handihaler, its use produces negligible maternal serum levels and any drug in breastmilk would not be absorbed by the infant. The risk to the breastfed infant of maternal Spiriva Handihaler inhalation is small.
