I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Pectin? Is Pectin safe for nursing mother and child? Does Pectin extracts into breast milk? Does Pectin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Pectin influence milk supply or can Pectin decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

A polysaccharide which is extracted from plant cell walls (citrus, apple).With properties such as emulsifier, stabilizer and adsorbent.Used as adsorbent intestinal with other compounds (kaolin) in the treatment of diarrhea. Given its zero bioavailability, which prevents intestinal absorption, it is not excreted in breast milk.Regarded as a prebiotic, it is part of some breast milk substitutes formulas. Most gastroenteritis do not require medication: just a good hydration.
