Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V)? Is Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) safe for nursing mother and child? Does Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) extracts into breast milk? Does Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) influence milk supply or can Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) usage in lactation

Limited information indicates that maternal doses of Trinatrium bis(gluconato(3)-O2,O3,O4)hydroxooxido-oxy-bis-antimonat(V) up to 1.4 grams daily produce low levels in milk and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants,[1] especially if the infant is older than 2 months. However, if withholding nursing during therapy is elected, breastfeeding can be reinstituted 24 to 48 hours after the last dose.
