Is a decapeptide with a sequence derived from gonadotropin releasing hormones (GnRH or LHRH), and is a LHRH-antagonist. It is not secreted into breast milk because of a large molecular weight. It is readily destroyed by the child’s stomach acid milieu. Keep in mind that there is a known anovulatory effect of lactation that is related to sucking frequency.
