Is Deptomycin Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Deptomycin? Is Deptomycin safe for nursing mother and child? Does Deptomycin extracts into breast milk? Does Deptomycin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Deptomycin influence milk supply or can Deptomycin decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Limited and somewhat inconsistent information indicates that Deptomycin produces very low levels in milk and it would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. No special precautions are required.

A mother nursing (extent not stated) a 5-month-old infant received intravenous Deptomycin 500 mg and ertapenem 1 gram once daily for 28 days to treat a pelvic infection. No adverse events were noted in the infant during the treatment or follow-up examination. A woman nursing a newborn was given Deptomycin 500 mg intravenously once daily for 14 days. No adverse effects were noted in the infant during therapy and for 7 days after the end of therapy.[2]
