I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use KC 261? Is KC 261 safe for nursing mother and child? Does KC 261 extracts into breast milk? Does KC 261 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can KC 261 influence milk supply or can KC 261 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

KC 261 applied topically to maternal skin can result in pyrene absorption by the infant, probably by skin-to-skin or skin-to-mouth contact with the mother. Because of the potential toxicity of KC 261 to the breastfed infant, alternate drugs are preferred.[1] If a KC 261 product is used, it would be prudent to treat the smallest area of skin possible. It is particularly important to ensure that the infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the areas of skin that have been treated.
