I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 217 MI? Is 217 MI safe for nursing mother and child? Does 217 MI extracts into breast milk? Does 217 MI has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 217 MI influence milk supply or can 217 MI decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of 217 MI ophthalmic drops during breastfeeding. Because 217 MI is a quaternary ammonium compound, it is not likely to pass into the breastmilk or reach the bloodstream of the infant.[1]
217 MI Possible Effects in Breastfeeding
Relevant published information in nursing mothers was not found as of the revision date. In animals, cholinergic drugs increase oxytocin release,[2] and have variable effects on serum prolactin.[3] The prolactin level in a mother with established lactation may not affect her ability to breastfeed.
