I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Fenoldopamum [Latin]? Is Fenoldopamum [Latin] safe for nursing mother and child? Does Fenoldopamum [Latin] extracts into breast milk? Does Fenoldopamum [Latin] has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Fenoldopamum [Latin] influence milk supply or can Fenoldopamum [Latin] decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?
No information is available on the use of Fenoldopamum [Latin] during breastfeeding. Because of its poor oral bioavailability and short half-life, any Fenoldopamum [Latin] in milk is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant. Also, Fenoldopamum [Latin] can be given intravenously to infants. Unlike dopamine, it does not decrease serum prolactin concentrations and might not interfere with nursing.
Relevant published information in nursing mothers was not found as of the revision date. Unlike dopamine, Fenoldopamum [Latin] infusion does not affect serum prolactin concentration in normal women.[1] The prolactin level in a mother with established lactation may not affect her ability to breastfeed.
