Is Wellvone Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Wellvone? Is Wellvone safe for nursing mother and child? Does Wellvone extracts into breast milk? Does Wellvone has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Wellvone influence milk supply or can Wellvone decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Drug used for treatment and prophylaxis of Pneumoystis pneumonia. Also used in combination with Proguanil for treatment of malaria. On latest update relevant data on breastfeeding was not found. Pharmacokinetic data indicates that drug excretion into breast milk would not be significant. It has been approved to treat infants over 5 kg of body weight. May be used in nursing mothers of newborn and babies under 5 kg of body weight since benefit is greater than risk.

No information is available on the use of Wellvone during breastfeeding. However, the quantity of drug in breast milk is assumed too low to provide adequate protection against malaria for the breastfed infant.[1] A dosage has been established for infants weighing as little as 5 kg, so it is unlikely to adversely affect breastfed infants weighing 5 kg or more.
