I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl-? Is 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- safe for nursing mother and child? Does 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- extracts into breast milk? Does 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- influence milk supply or can 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?
Evidence from one patient indicates that amounts of 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- and its active metabolite in breastmilk are very small and unlikely to adversely affect a breastfed infant. Exposure of the infant can be further minimized by avoiding nursing for 2 to 2.5 hours after each dose.
Relevant published information was not found as of the revision date. Women taking 1-Propanone, 1,2-di-3-pyridyl-2-methyl- chronically for suppression of hypercorticism associated with Cushing's syndrome may have other hormonal abnormalities that might interfere with lactation.
