I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Krypton-81m? Is Krypton-81m safe for nursing mother and child? Does Krypton-81m extracts into breast milk? Does Krypton-81m has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Krypton-81m influence milk supply or can Krypton-81m decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Information in this record refers to the use of Krypton-81m as a diagnostic agent. The International Commission on Radiological Protection and other experts state that breastfeeding need not be interrupted after administration of Krypton-81m gas.[1][2]
