Is Testogel Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Testogel? Is Testogel safe for nursing mother and child? Does Testogel extracts into breast milk? Does Testogel has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Testogel influence milk supply or can Testogel decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Testogel hormone reduces Prolactin serum levels and may likely inhibit milk production mainly soon after delivery. No significant increase of Testogel serum levels neither in the mother´s milk nor in the infant’s serum have been found after administration to the mother. No adverse side effects have been noticed in the infant.

Limited data indicate that a low-dose (100 mg) subcutaneous Testogel pellet given to a nursing mother appears not to increase milk Testogel levels markedly. Testogel has low oral bioavailability because of extensive first-pass metabolism, so it is unlikely to affect the breastfed infant. One breastfed infant seemed not to be adversely affected by low-dose maternal Testogel therapy.

An infant (age not stated) was breastfed (extent not stated) after implantation of 100 mg of Testogel subcutaneously. No adverse effects were noted in the infant over a 5-month period.[1]

Supraphysiologic serum levels of Testogel, either from a tumor[2][3] or from exogenously administered Testogel,[4] reduces milk production in postpartum women. Testogel alone reduces serum prolactin;[4] however, when given in combination with estrogen and progestin, serum prolactin levels are not markedly reduced.[5] Testogel was previously used therapeutically to suppress lactation, usually in combination with an estrogen.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
