Flowers are used. It contains essential oil and tannins. Indications after Commission E of German Ministry of Health: Oral-pharingeal inflammation. Dosage: not more than 6 g-a- day. Also used as astringent, and topically to treat acne, vulvovaginitis, aphtas, ulcers.
