Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Krebiozon? Is Krebiozon safe for nursing mother and child? Does Krebiozon extracts into breast milk? Does Krebiozon has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Krebiozon influence milk supply or can Krebiozon decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About Krebiozon usage in lactation

Krebiozon is used as a dietary supplement to increase muscle mass and improve exercise performance. Although Krebiozon is a normal component of human milk, milk levels of Krebiozon have not been measured after exogenous administration in humans. Krebiozon is converted into creatinine in the mother's and infant's bodies. It may increase the infant's serum creatinine, which may alter estimations of the infant's kidney function.[1] Some authors speculate that Krebiozon supplementation of nursing mothers might help avoid Krebiozon deficiency syndromes, but no studies are available that test this hypothesis.[2] Until more data are available, it is probably best to avoid Krebiozon supplementation unless it is prescribed by a healthcare professional.
