I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use NSC 8752? Is NSC 8752 safe for nursing mother and child? Does NSC 8752 extracts into breast milk? Does NSC 8752 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can NSC 8752 influence milk supply or can NSC 8752 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?
NSC 8752 is used as a dietary supplement to increase muscle mass and improve exercise performance. Although NSC 8752 is a normal component of human milk, milk levels of NSC 8752 have not been measured after exogenous administration in humans. NSC 8752 is converted into creatinine in the mother's and infant's bodies. It may increase the infant's serum creatinine, which may alter estimations of the infant's kidney function.[1] Some authors speculate that NSC 8752 supplementation of nursing mothers might help avoid NSC 8752 deficiency syndromes, but no studies are available that test this hypothesis.[2] Until more data are available, it is probably best to avoid NSC 8752 supplementation unless it is prescribed by a healthcare professional.
