I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use AF 37702? Is AF 37702 safe for nursing mother and child? Does AF 37702 extracts into breast milk? Does AF 37702 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can AF 37702 influence milk supply or can AF 37702 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of AF 37702 during breastfeeding. Because of its large molecular weight of 4900 daltons, excretion into breastmilk should be minimal and it would not be expected to be absorbed from breastmilk by the infant. If AF 37702 is required by the mother of an older infant, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding, but until more data become available, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
