I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-K16AIQ8CTM? Is UNII-K16AIQ8CTM safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-K16AIQ8CTM extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-K16AIQ8CTM has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-K16AIQ8CTM influence milk supply or can UNII-K16AIQ8CTM decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-K16AIQ8CTM during breastfeeding. Because UNII-K16AIQ8CTM is a large protein molecule with a molecular weight of about 148,000, the amount in milk is likely to be very low and absorption is unlikely because it is probably destroyed in the infant's gastrointestinal tract. Until more data become available, UNII-K16AIQ8CTM should be used with caution during breastfeeding, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-K16AIQ8CTM therapy and for 7 months after the last dose.
