Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use MEDI 493? Is MEDI 493 safe for nursing mother and child? Does MEDI 493 extracts into breast milk? Does MEDI 493 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can MEDI 493 influence milk supply or can MEDI 493 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About MEDI 493 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of MEDI 493 during breastfeeding. Because MEDI 493 is a large protein molecule with a molecular weight of about 148,000, the amount in milk is likely to be very low and absorption is unlikely because it will probably be destroyed in the infant's gastrointestinal tract.
