Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use HSDB 8178? Is HSDB 8178 safe for nursing mother and child? Does HSDB 8178 extracts into breast milk? Does HSDB 8178 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can HSDB 8178 influence milk supply or can HSDB 8178 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About HSDB 8178 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of HSDB 8178 during breastfeeding. Because HSDB 8178 is a large protein molecule with a molecular weight of about 148,000, the amount in milk is likely to be very low and absorption is unlikely because it will probably be destroyed in the infant's gastrointestinal tract.
