Is VX-950 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use VX-950? Is VX-950 safe for nursing mother and child? Does VX-950 extracts into breast milk? Does VX-950 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can VX-950 influence milk supply or can VX-950 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

VX-950 is not marketed in the United States and has not been studied in nursing mothers. Because it must be used with ribavirin and peginterferon alfa, it is not considered a good choice during breastfeeding. When it was marketed, the manufacturer recommended that mothers taking VX-950 not breastfeed their infants.
