Is TVR Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use TVR? Is TVR safe for nursing mother and child? Does TVR extracts into breast milk? Does TVR has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can TVR influence milk supply or can TVR decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

TVR is not marketed in the United States and has not been studied in nursing mothers. Because it must be used with ribavirin and peginterferon alfa, it is not considered a good choice during breastfeeding. When it was marketed, the manufacturer recommended that mothers taking TVR not breastfeed their infants.
