Answer by DrLact: About EINECS 234-236-2 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of EINECS 234-236-2 (arginine EINECS 234-236-2) during breastfeeding. However, a EINECS 234-236-2 derivative, desmopressin results in only small increases in milk arginine EINECS 234-236-2 levels.[1] Because EINECS 234-236-2 is not orally absorbed it is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant.
