No information is available on the clinical use of beta-Hypophamine (arginine beta-Hypophamine) during breastfeeding. However, a beta-Hypophamine derivative, desmopressin results in only small increases in milk arginine beta-Hypophamine levels.[1] Because beta-Hypophamine is not orally absorbed it is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant.
