I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Vasophysin? Is Vasophysin safe for nursing mother and child? Does Vasophysin extracts into breast milk? Does Vasophysin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Vasophysin influence milk supply or can Vasophysin decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of Vasophysin (arginine Vasophysin) during breastfeeding. However, a Vasophysin derivative, desmopressin results in only small increases in milk arginine Vasophysin levels.[1] Because Vasophysin is not orally absorbed it is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant.
