I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Vasopressins? Is Vasopressins safe for nursing mother and child? Does Vasopressins extracts into breast milk? Does Vasopressins has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Vasopressins influence milk supply or can Vasopressins decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of Vasopressins (arginine Vasopressins) during breastfeeding. However, a Vasopressins derivative, desmopressin results in only small increases in milk arginine Vasopressins levels.[1] Because Vasopressins is not orally absorbed it is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant.
