I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use VA 2914? Is VA 2914 safe for nursing mother and child? Does VA 2914 extracts into breast milk? Does VA 2914 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can VA 2914 influence milk supply or can VA 2914 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

VA 2914 is a selective progesterone receptor modulator used in a single dose as an emergency postcoital contraceptive. No information is available on the clinical use of VA 2914 during breastfeeding. The manufacturer recommends avoiding use of VA 2914 acetate during breastfeeding; others recommend withholding breastfeeding for 24 hours after use, based on the low levels in breastmilk.[1][2]
